A complete AI accounting system for a landscaping company

Scoros built an end-to-end accounting product for a 32-person landscaping company that works in both English and Spanish. Employees report hours, clients and supplies bought for jobs by phone call, email or text to an AI finance assistant. The owner reviews and approves everything in a few minutes each day, and the system issues invoices, keeps the general ledger and prepares the taxes.

Location and why
The team started in St. Petersburg, Russia. When Scoros left Russia, it moved the team to Barbados. Scoros later added Georgia (the country) and kept Barbados, so the team ran in both.

Grew to over 40 engineers.
Outcome
All senior staff, about ten engineers, were transferred to Northern Light in the Boston area; Scoros still supports Northern Light with a team of about ten today.

Igor Razboff's first offshore team: Animation Magic, Inc., a multimedia and computer game studio with a development center in St. Petersburg, Russia, opened in 1992. The team worked on titles including Link: The Faces of Evil, Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon and King's Quest VII. The engagement was completed in 1997.
